Volcanic Ash Sunset part 2

The sun was nearly set and the cloud that was in the sky looked like it was a trail of smoke. I don't know if the cloud was an ash cloud or just a normal cloud but it was well matched with the sun going down.
I might try again tomorrow night as we still are affected by the volcanic ash clouds (so we are told anyway...)

If I only was on the west coast now instead of the east coast...

Volcanic Ash Sunset

The only positive thing that is coming out of the Eyjafjallajoekull volcano's eruption is that the sunsets can get nice red colours from the ash. I went out on Thursday night with the mission to get a red vibrant sunset. To my disappointment it was just a normal one. Then last night we headed down to Howth and above is one of my photos from last night. Handheld and high ISO. I will have to try again but with a tripod...

Enjoy the sun this weekend!

Spring is in the air for bicycles too!

Spotted in Paris. Two cute home painted bikes. I bet you they are his & her's bikes! I have started to select the photos I will put up for this year's annual DCC exhibition which is a competition as well. I got one selected last year and I also was awarded a prize. This year I have to better myself with getting more than one photo in!
I can't chose between these photos so I need your help. Please leave a comment with an explanation which one you prefer. Or if you like neither, feel free to say so! :-)

Door Obsession

I have had an obsession taking photos of doors the last year or so. Had a look through my door collection and thought I'll share a few with you . The doors have a meaning to me. I think they are showing me that I need to open more doors and continue developing.

I also love the group Doors so here's a link to one of their beautiful songs!

I took down the Paris exhibition today. Many thanks to Beatrice at VitA Midi for all help.
A special thanks also to Mia- couldn't have done it without you!

The new exhibition in VitA Midi is by Véronique Valier. She has beautiful acrylic paintings from Mali. The exhibition is called Voyage au Mali. Please pay a visit, you won't regret it!

Reflections in water

I had a nice walk in Iveagh Gardens and Stephen's Green today. It looks like spring has finally arrived; a bit later than usual this year.
I'm into shooting reflections in water now. If there is enough interest I'm looking to put up another exhibition.
